In a recent interview at Austin in a hotel conference room Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning The Runaways stars answered quite a few questions, among them was they are afraid and hates to answer the question which band or songs they listen to.
In spite of acting in a musical bio-pic as they think music is very defining and as Fanning puts it, “I think people judge you a lot on the music that you listen to.” and to this Kristen adds, “it does say a lot about you.”
Both the actresses also refused to become part of a band though Stewart loves playing guitar but neither of them can think of singing for themselves without hiding behind a character.
They went on to speak about how the costumes in the film helped them to become part of the characters. Kristen plays the role of Joan Jett and Dakota the role of Cherie Currie.
Stewart also finds both her Bella Swan and Joan’s characters to be bold female characters and maybe because of that she has such a huge female audience base too. But the portrayal of strong female characters does not take away the fact that both Dakota and Kirsten are still young, 15 and 19 years of age respectively.
It shows with their liking for the gifts they have received from their fans, while Dakota loves her Hello Kitties from her Japanese fans Kristen found a jacket from one of her fans while she was feeling very cold “really nice”. So people who love these actresses or the original Runaways please go to the theatres and watch it. The movie already had a limited release on 19th of March and is releasing nationwide on 9th of April.
