Watch out Mary-Kate and Ashley, there may be another famous sister duo stealing the reign of most popular sibling superstars. Dakota Fanning, 17, and her younger sister, Elle, 13, grace the cover of the December issue of W Magazine and dish about each other and acting, among many other topics.

Elle reveals she loves her older sister, but that doesn’t mean they don’t get into the occasional sibling conflicts. She said she misses Dakota now that they no longer are living together. While Elle has followed in her footsteps by acting, Dakota has taken a break from the cameras by going to college.
Dakota enrolled in higher education because of the same reason she wanted to attend high school. She said she didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to discover who she is and the ability to share stories about the experience.
“You hear people say, ‘Oh when I was in high school’ or ‘When I was in college.’ That defines a lot of who people are, and I didn’t want to miss out on that,” the Am I Sam star said.
Meanwhile, Elle is making movies and experiencing things on her own, such as her first love scene with a boy in Super 8. “I didn’t have to kiss him. But it was a boy-girl scene, and we had to like each other in the movie,” she said. Elle’s next big screen role is in We Bought a Zoo with Scarlett Johansson and Matt Damon, which hits theaters Dec. 23.
