Dakota Fanning act in Girls' Night Out as Queen Elizabeth's sister Princess Margaret: The film will focus on the royal siblings as teenagers when they are allowed one night out of Buckingham Palace to celebrate the end of World War II. The role of Elizabeth has not yet been cast.

Hoffman (One Fine Day) is directing the film from a script by Trevor de Silva (English Patience). Douglas Rae and Robert Bernstein are producing for Ecosse Films. No word yet on when production will begin. Fanning is one of the most prolific actresses of her generation; she most recently starred in The Runaways and Push, and she can be seen in the upcoming two-part finale of The Twilight Saga.
